What We Offer
The vital role of music and the wider arts in supporting wellbeing, social engagement and learning in children is well known and backed by scientific data. We encourage schools to include a vibrant music and creative arts offer both within and beyond their curriculum so that pupils can enjoy the many associated benefits.
We have two key offers for schools, Peripatetic Tuition and Whole Class courses to excite, enhance and develop your students into young musicians:
Peripatetic
Tuition
Our professional music tutors visit schools on a weekly basis to deliver bespoke and focused individual/small-group music lessons to pupils that accelerate their music education.
Students develop key musical skills through a variety of energetic musical activities that support technical and theoretical understanding. Our tutor team embraces a variety of instruments, styles, cultures and approaches, and many maintain active links with the industry. Our tutors work in collaboration with schools to support curriculum work, ensembles and events.
Cost:
Lessons are charged by the hour (minimum of 2 hours per session)

Whole Class
Provision
Musitrax is Lambeth Music Service’s flagship ‘whole-class’ music education programme, designed to facilitate a child’s musical development throughout their school journey by delivering project-based music lessons from Nursery to Year 6 including learning to play instruments as part of a ‘whole-class ensemble’.
Through Musitrax, students will experience the joy of music whilst developing skills in singing, performing, listening, composing and musical notation whilst developing softer skills in teamwork and collaboration as well as improved cognitive abilities.
